back.....again

So, I decided to update you on my picture taking hobbie. I know I wrote the past two blogs, one five minutes ago. All I have to say about it is, it's addicting. This is another midair shot. If you haven't seen the other picture just scroll down a bit. P.S. Megan wrote this.

i'm back

Ok, so lately I have been REALLY BORED. So once again my mom urged me to write a post. Um, well there is this really funny thing and I need to tell somebody, so everybody reading this post, YOU yes YOU are that somebody. So, down to buisness. We have this pad and it heats up. So the Hansen family, (me) thought of this really great thing. You sit on it and guess what?!?!?! It actully warms up your bum!! Great huh. So lately it's just being passed from bum to bum. There are levels for how hot you want it to be. Right now it's on high. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! P.S. Megan wrote this again.

um......hi

Ok, so my mom urged me to write on our blog, so....... here I am. Well, some of you may know that I am addidicted to taking pictures. It's like a hobby of mine. You probably have seen some creations of mine. This one is my favorite. This is my cousin Xander at my uncles wedding. I dont know why I love it, but just look at his face. Happy Days. P.S. Megan wrote this!!

Three Funny Things

#1 in the middle of the night mark got a washable marker and drew moustaches on all the kids. in the morning i drew one on myself. as i played our wake-up song i could barely keep from laughing as the kids came out one by one. once we started reading scriptures they started waking up more and started noticing the moustaches on all of us. it was pretty hilarious and the hardest i've laughed in a long time. object lesson: if we aren't careful and watching our actions, satan can sneak in and before we know it we are tainted by his mark. they loved it!

#2 megan was trying her best to clean the kitchen all by herself. We rushed out the door and when i got back from the school drop off there was water and bubbles ALL over the kitchen floor and under the fridge and stove. megan now knows the difference between dishwasher detergent and dishwashing liquid.

#3 mark has been out of town this week. he said he was coming home today at 1pm. last night when he called me to check in i was already asleep. i was pretty groggy but still woke up enough to chat. the next thing i hear is a huge crash in the front room and foot steps running down the hall toward my bedroom. i was starting to freak out!! then mark burst in the room. he had finished up just in time to make the last flight back and surprised me by getting home early. (surprised?? more like scared the toots out of me!)

Fondest Memory of My Grandpa

My grandpa's funeral was last weekend.

It was a such a nice service to remember him and a time when I got to see all my brothers and sister. I made everyone stand in order of age in this photo .... John, Seth, me, Laur, Trev and Eric.
My fondest memory of Grandpa, aside from his sense of humor and way of making people laugh, was of his never-ending temple service. When I think of the temple, I think of grandma and grandpa. I was able to receive my own endowment at the St. George Temple with them back in 1996. Megan took this photo and as you can see I am mostly cut out--just a little black side note. I like to think of it as her having her whole eye focused on what really matters; The Temple.

This was a rose I found on the temple grounds.

San Fran with my Sista

Jen rules! We had a great time cruizing China town, The Ferry Building, and eating at some awesome restaurants. This is from her office building balcony overlooking the Bay Bridge. It was breathtaking.

Totally Wicked San Fran Trip

This year our anniversary trip was to San Francisco. We found a great VRBO within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. This is right before we went and saw Wicked! We did some hiking nearby. I always love these shots of the trees up into the Heavens. This was my favorite exhibit at the art museum. This is a closeup so it sort of loses the whole effect but basically it shows each "person" with writing on them showing what is affecting them at the time and how everyone is interelated and has an effect on each other.
We ate on the wharf at Santa Cruz. The food was awesome and our waiter was even better. It was such a fun night. The apricot bread pudding was amazing.
The sunset was amazing. It was all foggy except for where the sun was setting. Everyone in the restaurant was over by our seat enjoying the view.
I love you Mark!!
